Lu Mendoza is a passionate cinematographer born in the small city of Metepec, Mexico. Lu started working in the industry in 2019 and is currently based in Los Angeles in the United States. They started learning under the wing of Delish editor Zachary Lennon-Simon and shot social media content for the Mexican foundation IEVO.

They moved to California to receive their Bachelors in Filmmaking from New York Film Academy, where they produced numerous short films and music videos during their course in the peak of the global pandemic. Having shot various different genres, Lu has gained expertise in understanding the requirements of their projects and the creative visionaries.

In March 2021, they landed their first feature film “LOST IN THE MOMENT” which got signed with platforms like Amazon Prime, Hulu, Tubi. They produced the short film “PEACE IN PATIENCE” that dealt with the Black Lives Matters movement and police brutality. They then produced and directed the music video for the Latinx band Pardon Me Sir for their song I AM SO SORRY THAT I DIDN’T CALL YOU” that has been selected in festivals like the San Diego Independent Filmmaker’s Festival and winning Hollywood Gold Awards.
